Has it really been sixteen weeks already?
It doesn’t seem like that long, but it looks like my time writing for Next Step Chronicles is at an end. I hope you’ve enjoyed what I’ve had to say, and maybe, if I’m lucky, I’ve given some advice that’s helped one or two of you.
As for myself, things are going to keep moving as usual. I’ve had a few job interviews lately, and I have more lined up, so hopefully one of them will end up getting me a job. It would be nice to end my time here with a new job and bright future ahead of me, but life isn’t quite so artistic.
What I do have, though, is hope, and that’s much better than nothing.
I don’t know if I’ve really changed much in these past few weeks. I’m still the same guy I was when I started writing, just with a bit more experience behind me and some more work to my name. That’s something, though, and certainly better than nothing.
So, where do I go from here? Hopefully, to a paying job. Otherwise, I’ll continue on the path I always have. I’ll still do my blogging for California Conventions Blog and Whatever I Read (http://www.caliconblog.net/ and http://robsreadingreviews.blogspot.com/). I’ll also continue diligently searching for work where I can put my writing abilities to use.
To all of you who are going through college or also in the job market, good luck to you. Wish me luck as well, since I’m gonna need it, but I’m going to charge ahead with everything I’ve got. Allons-y!
Robert, you have now sixteen more pieces of professional writing under your belt so I would say you have come far since you first started chronicling your journey- thank you for sharing your story! I know it may seem like life moves at a snails pace at times, but keep your hope, your sense of humor and remain true to yourself. One of the most important things you can do when searching for a job or career is find a sense of identity. Self discovery lays a great foundation for what the future may bring. You will get that job, I’m sure of it, and when you do, I welcome you to share your success with BrandKit.
Cheers to your next step!
Sending you confidence and joy,
Andrea
