Heading back to school and feeling overwhelmed preparing for life after college? Or, have you recently graduated and realized you need to work on your digital reputation? I have just the project for you!
Starting this Fall BrandKit is looking for four (4) young professionals to chronicle career searches and college/post college life experiences. If you’re a 20-something and find yourself asking, “What’s the next step?” you’re the right person for this gig!
Details, Details, Details
We’re looking for young professionals from 19-24 years in age. You must be currently enrolled in college or recently graduated within the past year (2010-2011). We want someone who is fun, ambitious and creative. It also helps if you’ve had an internship or looking for one.
We invite you to share your journey from college to the real world, including the good, the bad and the ugly through weekly blog posts. What are your expectations? Is corporate life your next step or joining the Peace Corps sound more like your cup of tea? Worried about your student loans? Either way, we want to hear all about it!
From now until September 7th we’re accepting applications to be part of the Next Step Chronicles team. As part of the team you will:

Contribute to the Next Step Chronicles once a week, for a total of 16 weeks (16 posts.) Posts will need to be at least 300 words and include a photo.

Submit a brilliantly composed, witty and genuine, single paragraph bio and three (3) photos of yourself for a photo montage.

Gain a fantastic following. Your entries will be showcased on the BrandKit homepage and shared via the BrandKit Twitter and Facebook feeds each week.

Increase exposure of your personal blog. You will have the opportunity to repost any of your entries on your blog, as long as they link back to your original entry on the BrandKit blog. Bloggers for the Next Step Chronicles will also receive a fancy graphic badge for your website or blog.

Receive BrandKit’s most popular image kit or one (1) hour of mentoring free! Redeemable anytime after the 16 weeks.

Connect and build a community with other 20-somethings from around the country. You aren’t the only one unsure of your next move and this is a great way to find others asking the same kinds of questions.
To be considered, please fill out our application and answer these questions as a mock first blog post: “What makes you curious about your Next Step? How has your past led you to this point? Why are you the perfect person for the Next Step Chronicles?”
Winners will be announced on Friday, September 9th on the BrandKit blog. The four chosen winners will begin submitting entries for October 1. Please note, if you can’t commit to 16 weeks, please do not apply for this opportunity.
